Proud...and sad.

Well, today was Preston's 5th Grade Graduation. I still can't believe it. I have such mixed emotions about the entire thing. While we are EXTREMELY proud of all that he has accomplished through the years at BDMA, we are very sad that he will not ever go to school there again. Being a BDMA student has been a blessing for Preston, but being the parent of a BDMA student is an even bigger blessing. With very few exceptions, we have had wonderful experiences year after year. He learned something new every day and did it in a safe, caring environment. As parents, we can't ask for more than that. We have all been truly blessed {and spoiled} by this wonderful school and all that it has to offer. Although we are sad that Preston has his very last day tomorrow, we are comforted by two things.
{1} Preston is more than prepared for middle school and the challenges ahead of him.
{2} We have another cute little booger that will be roaming the BDMA halls in a few short years!

Here are a few pictures of Preston's big day. And, check out the awards he got today. Way to go buddy. As always, we are so proud of you and all that you've accomplished!

* Principal's List {All A's...all year long!}
* Non-Fiction Book Reader {20 books}
* D.A.R.E. Graduate
* Millionaire {Reading Program Award}
* Outstanding Conduct {This one makes us really proud!}
* Presidential Award {This award was given to students who maintained an A average throughout the entire year AND had "EXCEEDING" scores on the CRCT test}. That's a big deal buddy. Good job!
