VOTE '08

OK...I'm sick of Obama, McCain, Biden, Palin and everyone in between, so, we're going to have our own election at the Campbell house. I promise this one will not be near as obnoxious and hateful, and everything about this election is truthful!
Here's the deal. Preston has decided to let his hair get much longer than me or his Dad like it to be. While he's still handsome, the longer locks just don't do it for me. So, we're going to let you all decide. I've posted a picture of Preston with short hair and one with longer hair. We need your vote! Please cast your vote in the comments section after this post by next Friday, November 7.

P.S. Keep in mind, you can't truly appreciate
the "scragliness" of his hair in a photo!

short, clean and neat! (and pre-braces!)

VOTE TODAY!

Truer words have never been spoken...

They say a mother's intuition is usually right on. I think this mama may be proof of that. I bought this outfit before Hudson was even born! How did I know he would be the eating machine that he is?
So, I'll have to keep this post short...I hear a hungry boy calling my name!

Congratulations

Hudson attended his first wedding with Mom, Mimi and Papa tonight. My cousin, Elizabeth got married at Oakhurst Farm in West Point. She looked fantastic and the weather couldn't have been more perfect for an outdoor wedding. She had the cutest flower girls (her daughters, Gracie and Maggie) and junior bridesmaid (our niece, Maddie) I'd ever seen.
We sat on the very back row...so I could make a quick exit if the little man started acting up. =) I'm proud to say we were able to stay for the entire ceremony. In fact, Hudson giggled the entire time. Mimi, Papa and I got so cracked up at him. I think he may turn out to be the clown in the family!
Congratulations Elizabeth and Brady...have fun in Aruba!

All dressed up and ready to go.

New wheels....

I purchased this umbrella stroller a few weeks ago, with the hopes that I could push Hudson around the house and be able to get a few things done throughout the day. Well, he didn't like it AT ALL, at first. I think (and hope!) he may be having a change of heart. Check this picture out. Alan was pushing him around the house last night and he seemed to be digging his new wheels.

Moody like his Mom...

Our little punkins...

What better way to kick off the fall season than a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. We took the boys this afternoon and were amazed at the thousands of pumpkins this place must have had. They were everywhere! It's easy to enjoy this time of year with such cute little punkins...

(Edited to add...thanks Baby Noah for the cute outfit!)

Getting to know Dr. Cheek

Well, yesterday we made a trip to see Dr. Cheek for our 2 month check up. Nothing unusual or surprising...we have a healthy baby boy that weighed in at a whopping 14.4 pounds! Yes, that is a 14! What can we say? The boy loves to eat. He even had a little snack while we waiting for the Doctor. That was the easy part. Next came the shots. All 5 of them. Hudson did well. Or as Alan told Preston, "he took it like a man." That's funny, considering Alan wouldn't even get a flu shot while we were there. And, as Hudson was getting his shots, Mom was the lucky one that got to hold his arms still, while Dad all of the sudden became busy tidying up the diaper bag.
Funny the things we'll do when we don't want to do something else!

The end result was all good....an adorable, healthy, growing boy with his first round of shots under his belt.

We couldn't ask for anything more.

Hudson is 2 months old!

We can't believe another month has passed so quickly! You are growing by the minute and we become more in love with you each day! Your little personality is really starting to develop and we wouldn't trade your smiles for anything in the world! We can't imagine what it was like before our eatin', sleepin', slobberin', smilin' little man came along!
We love you so much, little buddy...
Dad, Mom and your Best Big Bro

We think we heard him say "GO DAWGS" as we took this picture.

A new invention...

This week, Preston had to complete a writing assignment about an invention. He had to come up with the invention, draw it, and write a paragraph about WHY he invented it, WHAT it would be used for and WHO it would help. I couldn't help but be so proud of him when I read what he came up with. He wrote the following all by himself.

“My Invention”
By: Preston Campbell

My invention is a sugar detector. The reason for this invention is for my Mimi. She is diabetic. This invention will not only help her but it will help everybody. They would have to stick an eye-dropper in the drink and the eye-dropper would turn a certain color. If it turns black it has sugar in it. If it stays clear it has no sugar at all. I hope my invention will help anybody that is diabetic so that they don’t drink anything sweet.
